Carkenny

Connect to the car you already drive

No new box to install. Carkenny connects through the car's own app, then monitors and stores a record the owner controls.

The connection

The owner approves access once. After that, the record builds itself.

Four stages

Each stage builds on the one before. Select a stage to see what changes.

What the connection can and cannot provide

What is available depends on the brand, model, year and the owner's plan. This is the general picture.

This is why the long-term goal is to partner with automakers. The patent describes the deeper signals; a connection through the car's app starts the record with what is already shared.

Owner control, by design

The record is only useful if people trust it. This is how the product is designed to work.

  • The owner signs in with the carmaker and approves what is shared. Nothing is collected without that approval.
  • The owner can disconnect at any time, which ends collection.
  • The owner sets how long records are kept and who can see them.
  • Every share is logged, so there is a trail of who saw what.
  • Carkenny does not decide whether a record is accepted as evidence. That is for the court or insurer.
