The service

Carkenny lets you connect a vehicle, view data your vehicle and connection provider make available, and keep a time-stamped record you can share. What is available depends on your vehicle, its maker and our providers, and it can change or be unavailable at times.

Your account

• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
• Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

Your vehicle and other people

• Connect only vehicles you own or have clear permission to connect.
• Do not use Carkenny to track, monitor or record another person without their knowledge or consent where the law requires it. You are responsible for following the laws on location tracking and on recording video or audio.
• Do not use Carkenny to harass, stalk or harm anyone, to break the law, or to interfere with or reverse-engineer the service.

Records are not legal advice or a guarantee

Carkenny records and shows data as your vehicle and providers supply it, which may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any record. Whether a record is accepted as evidence is decided by the insurer, police or court involved, not by Carkenny. Nothing in the service is legal advice. Do not rely on Carkenny for emergencies or safety-critical decisions. Call emergency services in an emergency.

Third-party services

Carkenny works with services we do not control, including vehicle makers and Smartcar. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. Carkenny is not affiliated with or endorsed by any vehicle maker. Brand names belong to their owners.

Our rights and yours

We own the service, its design and its software. You keep ownership of your data and give us permission to process it to provide the service. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

Ending use

You can stop using Carkenny at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, misuse the service, or if we must by law, and we may stop offering the service with reasonable notice.

Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Carkenny is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses from vehicle, provider or network outages.
